Enduring Powers of Attorney
An enduring power of attorney appoints someone to take care of your affairs when you are no longer able to do so.
This can help your family to assist you in the event that your health deteriorates as it will allow the attorney to deal with your affairs as if they were you (within limitations that are imposed by law and by you).
If you have someone that you trust implicitly to take control of your affairs, having an enduring power of attorney can help to make life a little bit easier for everyone involved should you need it.
There are two different types of enduring power of attorney, one applies to your personal care and welfare and the other applies to your property.
